PageSpinner has been reported to have problems if the FaxMenu extension included in FaxSTF 3.2.2 (and earlier) are enabled. The extension adds a menu item to the left of the AppleGuide icon in the menu bar. You will need to disable the FaxMenu extension, but you should still be able to use FaxSTF with PageSpinner.
To get the correct "web-safe" color values using the color picker you'll need to set the monitor to display 256 or millions colors, using thousands of colors does not seem to give the correct color values.
PageSpinner needs a space or a letter after <!-- in HTML comments to be able to restyle the file. See an example of a valid comment in the JavaScript tag. A space or a letter is also be recommended before the end of the comment -->.
There is a problem with opening Preferences : Editor if Suitcase 2.x is installed.
No problems have been reported with Suitcase 3.x.
PageSpinner may have problems with updating the text display if there are not enough free memory available for the System, and can sometimes display a black bar with multicolored dots in the middle of the window. Decrease the memory size allocated for the browser or other open applications and uncheck the box Use Temporary Memory in Preferences : General in PageSpinner.
PageSpinner cannot open files with filenames starting with a dot, such as .index.html, you will need to temporarily rename such files during editing.
If you get the error "End of File..." when trying to Save to FTP Server when using the included compiled script for Fetch you could try to create a new compiled script from the included source file. Read more about this in the file Save To FTP Server Info located in the Settings : FTP folder.
If the floating menu palette (or other windows) doesn't show up on the screen, you should press the Option key the first time you select the window in the Windows menu. This could happen if you have an old PageSpinner Prefs file or if you change the monitor resolution to a smaller size and the windows were previously positioned outside the new desktop area.
PageSpinner has been reported have problems when launching or when clicking in the menus if there is a damaged Printer driver selected in the Chooser. Select another Printer driver or reinstall the driver.
There is a problem with text editing if the extension QuickTime VM is installed (included in the JPEG Viewer distribution).
Installation notes
You should not move anything that is located inside the PageSpinner folder to another place on your disk. Create aliases to the application and the files instead.
To use the PageSpinner Guide it needs to be located in the same folder as the application. It should be available in the Help menu if you are running System 7.5 or later and have the AppleGuide extension installed. You will not need to move the file PageSpinner Guide to the System folder.
Working with other applications
PageSpinner may have problems reading some Netscape Bookmark files.
If you are saving files in the ISO 8859-1 format (default) and use Fetch to upload the files, you will need to select "Customize:Misc" in Fetch and uncheck "Translate ISO characters" to have international characters transferred correctly. Also make sure you don't have MacBinary enabled when saving PageSpinner HTML files. The recommended setting to use with Fetch 3.0.1 "Customize:Preferences:Upload" is:

Ñ See if the problem is mentioned in the list above, and use suggestions that may be given.
Ñ If possible take a look at the Support Page available at the PageSpinners site <http://www.algonet.se/~optima/pagespinner.html> to see if there are information available.
Ñ Remove the file PageSpinner Prefs in the System folders Preference folder.
Ñ╩Start PageSpinner and see if the problem remains.
Ñ Startup without extensions (press the shift key during startup) and see if the problems remains.
Ñ If the problem is gone use the Extensions Manager to disable all but the systems extensions.
Ñ Restart and see if the problems remains.
Ñ If it is gone add a few extensions, restart and see if one of these extensions introduce the problem.
Ñ Repeat the step above until you have added all previously use extensions.
Ñ If none of the above works download and install a fresh copy of PageSpinner and try this copy.
